We opened our first online shop in 2005 and chose Shop Maker as it appeared to be one of the less complicated systems that were available at the time. It was also reasonably priced which was of course very important to us as we launched our fledgling business.

I personally have very little it experience and the thoughts of building a complete online shop did worry me, as we all know that you only get one chance to make a first impression!

As I began to build the shop it soon became apparent that my fears were unfounded as it was really simple and the end product was very good. During the early days and due to my lack of experience I did have to call upon Richard’s expertise on several occasions, and I am happy to say that he always went that extra mile to help me and to ensure that things were running smoothly.

During our busy periods we spent a considerable amount of money on online advertising through pay per click and it was important to us that we had a shop that was always working 24-7 and the fact that our shop was hosted on a Rackspace server ensured that downtime would be a thing of the past.

Now here we are 3 years on and we have developed considerably. Our original business has gone from strength to strength and Shop Maker is right at the centre of this as it is the online shop that brings in the orders (you do of course have to have a good product/service to put in the shop).

We have just switched over to version 4 and it has been like moving your bricks and mortar shop into a brand new hi tech shopping centre. This version has lots new features and is an absolute pleasure to work with. We have already received many glowing comments from our customers stating that the shop is easy to use and navigate around.

The built in SEO functions are very good and we are already seeing our pages indexed with the major search engines.

It is very easy to use and the end result is exceptionally good, in fact it is that good, we have just launched our second shop!
